A village of twenty new homes is being built at  Gishyita, Karongi. The building of this Good News International Gishyita community village is well underway thanks to support from Sandyhills Parish Church and Bishopbriggs Community Church. The homes are being built in partnership with the Karongi District and the Gishyita Sector who are each matching the funds donated through Comfort International.
The village is for 20 families. Most were living in high risk zones where their houses were destroyed by disasters, other families were already homeless. The houses are still under construction but the families have already moved in as they had nowhere else to live.
