Comfort Transformation Centre – The Final Push

The walls are up. The roof is on. And after years of dreaming, praying, planning and building, the Comfort Transformation Centre is finally beginning to look like the home we imagined.

But we’re not there yet.

We’ve reached a crucial moment in the story of the Centre — the final push towards the completion of the childrens home.

For Comfort International and Comfort Rwanda, the Comfort Transformation Centre has always been about much more than constructing a building.

It is about creating a safe place for vulnerable children and young people who have experienced life on the streets — a place where they can find stability, care, education and the opportunity to build a different future.

The vision is simple: rescue, restore and equip.

A child who has known uncertainty can have somewhere safe to sleep.

A young person can have the opportunity to learn.

Someone who has been excluded can discover that they belong.

And, with the right support and skills, they can begin to imagine a future beyond survival.

What once existed as a vision is now standing in Rwanda. The main building has taken shape, with the structural levels completed, the roof installed, the outer walls completed and the exterior plastered. That progress represents years of commitment from supporters, partners, churches, communities and individuals who have believed that this Centre is worth building.

Brick by brick, the vision is becoming reality.

But a building shell is not yet a home.

For children living on the streets, or in the city dump, the CTC will be a lifeline.

Imagine the moment the first children walk through those doors. Not as visitors to a building project. But as children coming home.

A place where they can wake up knowing they are safe.

A place where they can learn, grow, make friends and discover their potential.

A place where the difficult experiences of their past do not have to determine the possibilities of their future.

That is what we are building.

And after everything it has taken to get this far, we don’t want to stop before the Centre can fulfil its purpose.

Can you help us finish?

Whether you can make a large donation, give a smaller regular gift, organise a fundraiser, encourage your church or community to get involved, or simply share the campaign with someone else, you can help move this project closer to opening day.
