Djuma and his new wife celebrate their marriage.
In 2015 Djuma was sponsored through the electrician’s course at the Ihumure Technical and Vocational Education & Training Centre in Rwanda by Archie and Morag (pictured with Djuma). This sponsorship has changed his life. At the ITVET he received training in electrical, business and life skills as well as computing and following his graduation at the end of that year he started his own electrical business. This business has grown well and recently he was able to pay for his wedding with money he has earned.
More support from Scotland: On a trip to Rwanda Ross from Arbroath Academy also got to know Djuma and they stayed in touch after his return to Scotland. Ross was able to help Djuma and his new wife celebrate their marriage by sending over a gift to the couple.
It is fantastic to see the lasting impact that sponsorship has made for Djuma and we all wish him and his wife well for the future.
