Revival FM’s Dave Mitchell interviews the director of Comfort International about his latest book.
On Monday 11th January Dr Callum Henderson was Dave Mitchell’s special guest on his Mid-Morning show on Revival FM. Callum Henderson had been invited in to talk about his latest book, UNFORGOTTEN: Cherishing the Story of Rwanda’s Abasesero people.
Unforgotten is a remarkable account of the background, experiences and recovery from the genocide against the Tutsi of Bisesero and its people. At times horrifyingly brutal, at times inspiringly uplifting, it takes the reader through the sufferings into the hopes of a new future. At the book’s heart are the land, the people and their faith, which form a canvas for the rich tapestry of personal life and death narrative running through the book.
It is well worth the read for those who are interested in the story of Rwanda. It brings into sharp focus the horrors of the genocide and the real possibility, with God, of deep healing and reconciliation.
