The Comfort Transformation Centre (CTC) will provide safe accommodation for up to 80 young people giving them a centre for rehabilitation, education, community, nutrition and leisure. After the home for street children is completed, the rest of the projected work (home for vulnerable mums and babies, emergency housing for homeless families, vocational training provision) will be built and the Centre will function as a hub for Comfort Rwanda (our partners) activities and much more. Read Agnes’ story here to find out more about the importance of this project.
The CTC will include:
- A purpose built centre to allow 80 street children every year rebuild their lives for a better future. This is the present focus of the fundraising. This centre will also be a home to ‘house mamas’ and have a dining room, library/ revision/ computer space and rooms for volunteers.
- Ater the home for street children is built, there will be:
- A home for particularly vulnerable mums and their babies.
- Emergency homes for the homeless.
- Vocational Training facilities.
- Facilities for living, learning, meeting and play, meeting rooms, offices, cafeteria, green spaces and much more!
- Facilities to provide food for very poor non-residents.

The Comfort Transformation Centre (CTC) is our biggest ever financial undertaking as a charity and we are so excited about the transforming effect that it will have on thousands of lives, partnering with local heroes to provide safe accommodation, education, community, nutrition, leisure facilities, a hub for Comfort Rwanda activities and much more. We are fundraising for the CTC through various different avenues and we are so grateful for everyone who has given to this amazing project already. We recently launched a new community fundraiser for the CTC, a Potato and Pudding Party! We would be so delighted and grateful if you would consider hosting one to help raise funds for the CTC. If you would like to host any other kind of fundraising activity on behalf of the CTC, that would be amazing – please use this link to access the online fundraising portal for the CTC.
