With so many possibilities of volunteering with Comfort International, we wanted to showcase a couple of the options. Our second spotlight is on the role of Sponsorship Head. What does this mean? What does it involve?
Sponsorship has been a central aspect to Comfort’s fundraising and support portfolio since 2013. We have been blessed to see hundreds of people sponsoring individuals or groups since then. Sponsorship allows sponsors and sponsored to build a relationship through regular letters to each other as well as through some sponsors taking the opportunity to visit projects in Africa with Comfort International.
Sponsorship Heads are a vital part of the sponsorship projects. They are responsible for a number of aspects of the projects – focusing on the admin and communication between sponsors and sponsees. The role involves:
- Maintaining register of project members currently sponsored and needing sponsored.
- Maintaininga register of sponsors supporting the project.
- Editing reports and profiles to maximise communication between sponsors and the project and to maintain the integrity of Comfort and our partners.
We currently need volunteers in this role for the following projects:
- South Sudan Child Support
- Joy Centre TVET (Rwanda)
- Comfort Babies Congo
- Adopt A Class (Democratic Republic of Congo)
If this is an opportunity you would be interested in, please get in touch with us as soon as possible, we can’t wait to hear from you! To have a look at the other volunteering opportunities, please visit our volunteering page.
